Rider

Also referred to as an endorsement, a rider is an amendment to a surety bond or insurance policy used to add, update, or delete coverage.

The rider is commonly prepared or executed by the attorney-in-fact (agent) under the same authority as the original bond.

Example:

Effective 1/1/2020, the Performance Surety Company is updating bond number 12345 as follows:

All other terms remain the same.
